I don't have an exact setlist, the whole weekend was kind of a blur.. but until Jesse or someone hooks it up here's what I can remember (in no particular order):
Day Set- Spiritualize opener, Alkaline, Bubonic Tonic, Flower Sermon (i think) Shimmer and Out, Intro To A Cell closer
Late Night- Jump Off (w/Zelda jam) opener, It's All Clear, Slow Cookin, Kesey Seed, Nematode, Livingston Storm, One Last Hurrah, Umbilical Moonset, Hammerstrike, Greet The Mind closer
the memory is really hurtin right now but that gives you an idea. Both great shows, late night was a straight up dance party with tons of room to boogie b/c of a rain storm before/during their set. Got to say "what's up" to Mike again @ the MMW show. what a nice guy came over to say hi after i hollered from a distance. Lotus= still reigning kings of late night. Bassnectar's tent aint got shit on Greet The Mind. |

Yea...what a blur. I danced more than I ever had in my entire life. What great music. Precise setlist will be up soon, I'm sure. I partied alot and danced TOO much and lived in a constant state of WOW. I got to meet a handful of more Lotus fans and got to do a little chillin' with Shorty.
Day set wise...I'm sure there was no Flower Sermon. Shimmer And Out was sandwiched with Around the World. Mikesnack was played in the above mentioned Flower Sermon spot.
Late night wise...I beleive the only adjustment was that U. Moonset was sandwiched inbetween GTM. The set had EXTREMELY exprimental jams and ended abruptly at 4AM.
Both sets were well played. Seemed Luke battled the Vocorder a bit in Around the world. Some of the jamming in the late night set had the band members tugging on each other to take the jams this direction or that. There were a few times when for a few measures it seemed like each of them went off into a totally different direction that the rest of the band; power cords and trance music...someone playing quiet and another trying to bring down the house. This play with the members made for awesome jamming when they all collided.
Got to talk to everone a bit except Jesse and Scott. As always what a great experiance. It was cool to see the guys at other shows over the weekend and see 'em milling about.
Bottom line, awesome! |

Great review Harper! Great to have met you after the Savoy show!
Hope you enjoy your new tunes.
Had a great time at both shows. The covers always make it interesting.
I purchaced Sargasso Sea at Waka, and i cant seem to get it out of the cd player.........

I noticed the abrupt ending too... I was soo prepared for an old-school funk throwdown as the encorte--> SID!!, but no such luck.
Glad to read that a few of ya'll caught Savoy too, those guys are my good friends and my girlfriend sang w/ them on the last song. Her monitor was f'cked and you couldn't really hear her that well, but check out her song and more Savoy @ myspace.com/savoyband !! |

mainstage 3-4 pm
Spiritualize, Alkaline, Shimmer and Out>Around the World>Shimmer and Out, Bubonic Tonic, Hammerstrike, Intro to a Cell
revival tent 2:15-4:30am
Jump Off>Legend of Zelda>Jump Off, Mikesnack, Nematode, It's All Clear>Slow Cookin'>Juggernaut, Kesey Seed, Livingston Storm, Greet the Mind>Moonset>Greet the Mind, One Last Hurrah
First of all I'm a little disappointed even Harper couldn't nail the setlist. Second, we ended abruptly at 4:27 and about 15 minutes later it started raining like mad. Hope for tapes becuase there was some very experimental jams through out. |

I agree. Harper should probably be stripped of his "Lotus Geek #1" status! A real Lotus geek would have been there like the Cat in the Hat, pulling out a giant umbrella to dance under, followed by a smaller umbrella for his mic stand, followed by an even smaller umbrella to hold over his setlist. Emphasis on the word "setlist".
How could Harper do "Hammerstrike" like that? Not to mention "Juggernaut".
Wish I was there......rain and all.

I figured that the guy writing a book about Lotus should be conceded the Lotus Geek #1 title, but after no Wakarusa setlist, I'm not so sure now! |

Alright assholes! Don't make me come over there!
This is all I'm sayin'....again:
"Yea...what a blur. I danced more than I ever had in my entire life."
Blur...well you could figure out why I was that way and I KNOW you all know what I'm talkin' about with the dancing! |

I'll stand behind ya Harper! After a long weekend of festivities and extra-curriculars, I expect no one to remember anything, haha. Keep on Geekin'.
I still have trouble getting songs right when I'm AT the show, and I'm 18 deep at this point.
Glad everyone had fun! I'm hoping to make the Jazz Cafe show, and possibly the Cruise if I get back from Hawaii in time! |

Harper, just when I think you couldn't possibly do anything dumber, you do something like this...............AND TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF!
Seriously, I didn't take kindly to the harsh words. I think we should settle things...........perhaps over a hookah.............in March.............in Amsterdam.

Yeah, it's not working yet.

Figure about $400-$500 AT THE CHEAPEST for the plane ticket, about 80 euros per night for a decent hotel room, and 150 euros for the concert ticket. After that, it's whatever you want to spend on food & booze. "Other things" will cost about 10 euros per gram. |

I just had a buddy come back from Europe, and he spend a fortune, heh. I found a flight for 700 direct round trip. I'd probably end up dropping like... $1600 on the trip. But it's looking more plausible as the days go on.
Anyone else seriously thinking about a nice Eurotrip? |
